1. Gourmet Banana Foster Sandwich

Gourmet Banana Foster Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of brioche bread
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce
  • A scoop of vanilla ice cream (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the sandwich maker.
2. Spread butter on one side of each brioche slice.
3. Arrange banana slices on one slice of bread (buttered side out).
4. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the bananas.
5. Drizzle caramel sauce over the bananas.
6. Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side out.
7. Carefully place the sandwich in the preheated sandwich maker and cook until golden brown and crispy.
8. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat.

2. Strawberry Cheesecake
Delight Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of pound cake
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam
  • Fresh strawberry slices
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the sandwich maker.
2. Spread cream cheese on one side of each pound cake slice.
3. Spread strawberry jam on top of the cream cheese on one slice.
4. Arrange fresh strawberry slices over the jam.
5. Place the second slice of pound cake on top, cream cheese side down.
6. Place the sandwich in the preheated sandwich maker and cook until golden brown.
7. Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

3. Chocolate Almond
Coconut Dream Sandwich

Chocolate Almond Coconut Dream Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of coconut bread (or white bread)
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate hazelnut spread (Nutella)
  • 1 tablespoon shredded coconut
  • A handful of mini chocolate chips
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the sandwich maker.
2. Spread almond butter on one side of each coconut bread slice.
3. Spread chocolate hazelnut spread on top of the almond butter on one slice.
4. Sprinkle shredded coconut and mini chocolate chips over the spreads.
5. Place the second slice of bread on top, almond butter side down.
6. Carefully place the sandwich in the preheated sandwich maker and cook until golden brown.
7. Dust with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.

This can be made plant-based by using vegan bread and chocolate chips.

Well, there you have it! Dessert in your sandwich maker. Another idea, though not technically sandwiches, are sandwich maker pies, using pie crust instead of bread. I guess you could stretch the idea a little, but I thought it was a pretty good idea. (Link will open in a new window).
